Couples in Hyderabad rarely collect just one surrogacy quote. Telangana has one of the largest groups of registered surrogacy clinics in the country, so it is common to hold three or four estimates at once. The trouble is that those estimates seldom list the same things. One may fold in delivery, another may stop at the embryo transfer, and a third may leave the surrogate's insurance for later.
This page lays out our Delhi figures in a fixed order. First comes the treatment package, then condition-based costs, then the costs every legal surrogacy carries. You can hold any Hyderabad quote against it, row by row. Hyderabad is about 2 hours 15 minutes from Delhi by air. Pre-treatment tests and early scans can stay in Hyderabad, with reports sent to our doctor on WhatsApp. Flights are then needed only for steps that must happen at the clinic.
What the Delhi package covers for Hyderabad couples
₹4–5 lakhSurrogacy treatment package
- Consultations and treatment planning
- IVF to create embryos (stimulation, egg collection, lab work)
- Embryo freezing
- Embryo transfer to the surrogate
- Surrogate medical screening
Where your figure lands in this range depends on the patient's condition, such as egg reserve and response to medicines. You see the final number in writing before anything begins.
Lines that appear only when a case needs them
A Hyderabad quote that looks lower often leaves these rows out entirely. Ask whether each one is included, excluded or simply not mentioned.

Costs every legal surrogacy carries, wherever you treat
These lines exist because of the Surrogacy Act, not because of the clinic. Any honest estimate from Hyderabad or Delhi should account for them somewhere.

| Delivery (normal) | ₹1,50,000 – ₹2,00,000 |
| Insurance for the surrogate, 36 months | ₹65,000 – ₹1,45,000 |
| Medical board and authority certificates | ₹60,000 – ₹95,000 |
| Legal documents and parentage order | ₹1,60,000 – ₹3,20,000 |

Couples who flew in from the south

Shalini and Deepak travelled from Kolkata to Delhi for treatment. One coordinator kept a single checklist for their travel, certificates, IVF and delivery, so they always knew the next step.

Gurpreet and Mandeep came to Delhi from Chandigarh. They wanted a team that understood the Surrogacy Act, and careful screening of the surrogate and a complete legal file mattered most to them.

Why two Hyderabad quotes can be far apart
A gap between two surrogacy quotes usually comes from what each one counts, not from the medicine itself. A short quote may cover IVF and one embryo transfer and stop there. A longer one may already include delivery, insurance and legal work.
Indian law permits a maximum of three transfer attempts with one surrogate. If a quote covers only the first, every further attempt arrives as a new bill. In our estimate, an extra transfer is shown as its own row at ₹50,000 – ₹1,00,000, so you can see it before you commit.
Delivery is another swing factor. A normal delivery is listed at ₹1,50,000 – ₹2,00,000, while a caesarean adds ₹1,50,000 – ₹2,00,000. Twins add ₹1,00,000 – ₹2,00,000. None of these can be known on day one, which is why they sit in the condition table rather than in the package.
Genetic testing of embryos is a third line that quotes handle differently. Some include it by default, others never mention it. We list it at ₹20,000 – ₹50,000 and add it only when the doctor advises it for your case.
A row-by-row checklist for any package
Use the table below with any estimate you hold, ours included. Where a quote is silent on a row, treat that row as unpaid.
| Item | Question to ask |
|---|---|
| Embryo transfers | How many attempts does the figure cover, out of the three the law allows? |
| Surrogate insurance | Is a 36-month policy included, and who buys it? |
| Pregnancy care | Are scans, medicines and check-ups for nine months part of the figure? |
| Delivery | Normal only, or caesarean too? What about twins? |
| Certificates and court order | Are board, authority and legal fees inside or outside the quote? |
| Tests and scans | Are they billed separately? Ours are, at ₹47,700 – ₹95,000. |
Once every row has an answer, the totals become comparable. Until then, a smaller number may simply be a shorter list.
Telangana paperwork while treatment happens in Delhi
The medical indication certificate comes from the District Medical Board of the state where you live or work. For most Hyderabad couples, that means a board in Telangana. After that, the appropriate authority supervising that board issues the essentiality certificate.
Both certificates stay valid for one year, so timing matters. A Magistrate's court later passes the parentage and custody order for the child. Your advocate decides which court and which documents apply to your case. Legal documents and the parentage order appear in our estimate at ₹1,60,000 – ₹3,20,000.
The detailed sequence is set out on our process and certificates page.
Keep flights as a separate budget line
Air fares do not belong inside a clinic package, so plan them on their own. Most Hyderabad couples fly in for the first consultation and again for egg collection. Other visits depend on reports and on the doctor's advice.
The wife should rest for the remainder of the day after egg collection, so book the return for the next day or later. The embryo transfer is done for the surrogate, and the couple does not need to rest afterwards. Many reviews can happen over WhatsApp using reports from a Hyderabad lab.
A simple rule helps when booking. Buy the first consultation tickets early, since that date is fixed by you. Keep the egg collection tickets flexible, because the final scans decide the exact day. For anything else, wait until the doctor confirms that a visit is really needed.
IVF surrogacy under the altruistic rules
Only altruistic surrogacy is legal in India. The surrogate is an ever-married woman aged 25 to 35 who has a child of her own. She can act as a surrogate only once and cannot give her own eggs.
In IVF surrogacy, embryos are made from the couple's eggs and sperm, or with donor gametes when a board certifies the need. The embryos are then transferred to the surrogate. The Act also allows an Indian widow or divorcee aged 35 to 45 to opt for surrogacy. She must use her own eggs with donor sperm.
