Test tube baby cost is easy to quote and hard to compare. A Hyderabad IVF centre may give one round number, while our estimate breaks the same cycle into consultation, tests, medicines, lab work and the procedure. Neither style is wrong, but only the itemised one shows you where the money goes.
For couples flying in from Hyderabad, there is a second budget to plan: travel. The flight to Delhi takes about 2 hours 15 minutes. Your pre-treatment tests and early scans can happen at a Hyderabad lab, with results passed to our doctor on WhatsApp. That keeps the trips to the steps that need the clinic itself, such as the final scans and egg collection. Below you will find each line of the cycle, the extras that apply only to some couples, and a plain count of the flights most couples book.
Hyderabad couples: the IVF cycle cost split into parts
Medicines vary the most, since the dose depends on age, AMH and body weight. Your written estimate shows each line for your own case.

| Pre-IVF testsHormones, AMH, infection screening, semen analysis | ₹7,000 – ₹18,000 |
| Stimulation medicinesDepends on age, AMH and body weight | ₹25,000 – ₹60,000 |
| Sperm preparationWashing and selecting sperm in the lab | ₹2,000 – ₹8,000 |
| Anaesthesia for egg collectionShort anaesthesia, same-day discharge | ₹5,000 – ₹15,000 |

Extras that some quotes include and others leave out
When a Hyderabad IVF price looks lower, check this list first. ICSI, blastocyst culture and embryo freezing are often the lines that differ.
| Item | When it applies | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| ICSI | Low sperm count or motility, or earlier failed fertilisation | ₹20,000 – ₹50,000 |
| Blastocyst culture (day 5) | Growing embryos to day 5 before transfer | ₹10,000 – ₹25,000 |
| Embryo freezing | When extra good embryos are available | ₹15,000 – ₹40,000 |
| Embryo or egg storage, per year | After the first year of freezing | ₹5,000 – ₹15,000 |
| Frozen embryo transfer (FET) cycle | Using a frozen embryo in a later cycle | ₹40,000 – ₹80,000 |
| Assisted hatching | Some repeated-failure or frozen-embryo cases | ₹10,000 – ₹25,000 |
| Preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) | Only when medically advised | ₹75,000 – ₹3,00,000 |
| TESA / PESA (surgical sperm retrieval) | No sperm in the semen sample | ₹30,000 – ₹60,000 |
| Hysteroscopy or laparoscopy | If the uterus or tubes need treatment first | ₹40,000 – ₹1,00,000 |
| Donor egg programme | Very low AMH or repeated poor egg quality | ₹70,000 – ₹1,80,000 |
| Donor sperm | When no usable sperm is available | ₹5,000 – ₹15,000 |
If IVF is not the first step: IUI and egg freezing
Some couples are advised to try IUI before IVF. Egg freezing is a separate choice for women who want to delay pregnancy.
| Treatment | Includes | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| IUI, per cycle | Including washed sperm preparation | ₹10,000 – ₹25,000 |
| Egg freezing (one cycle) | Stimulation, collection and freezing; storage extra | ₹1,50,000 – ₹2,50,000 |
Setting a Hyderabad quote beside ours
To compare IVF prices fairly, put both estimates into the same rows. Use the table below as a template.
| Line | What to confirm in the other quote |
|---|---|
| Tests | Are AMH, hormones, infection screening and semen analysis included or billed later? |
| Medicines | Is a fixed amount included, and what happens if a higher dose is needed? |
| ICSI | Is it part of the price, or added once the lab sees the sperm sample? |
| Embryo freezing | Is the first year of storage included? |
| Frozen transfer | If a fresh transfer is not advised, what does the later transfer cost? |
When every row is filled, the real difference between two IVF centres is usually smaller than the headline suggested.
Watch the medicines line closely. Some quotes include a fixed allowance and bill any higher dose separately. Others leave medicines out altogether. Our estimate shows the expected range for your age and AMH, so you can see the likely figure up front.
How many flights a Hyderabad IVF cycle takes
- First consultationBoth partners visit Delhi once. Bring your Hyderabad reports so the doctor can plan without repeating tests.
- Starting stimulationInjections begin on a date the doctor sets. Early scans can be done in Hyderabad and sent on WhatsApp.
- Final scans and egg collectionThe wife travels to Delhi for the last scans, which decide the timing. The husband gives a sample on collection day.
- Embryo transferThis can follow a few days after collection on the same stay, or happen later as a frozen transfer on a separate trip.
- Pregnancy testThe blood test about two weeks after transfer can be done in Hyderabad and shared with the doctor.
So most couples fly two or three times per cycle. A frozen transfer cycle, at ₹40,000 – ₹80,000, adds one trip.
The husband does not have to stay for the whole collection trip. He can fly in for the sample day and return. The wife stays longer, as the final scans may shift collection by a day or two.
When ICSI adds to the IVF price
In standard IVF, eggs and sperm are placed together in the lab. In ICSI, a single sperm is injected into each egg. The add-on costs ₹20,000 – ₹50,000.
ICSI is usually advised for a low sperm count or poor motility, or when eggs failed to fertilise in an earlier cycle. Many couples do well with standard IVF instead. Read more on our ICSI page or compare figures on the ICSI cost in India page.
Why we do not quote a success rate
A price tells you what you pay, not what you get. IVF success depends mainly on age, egg reserve, sperm quality and embryo quality. A single percentage cannot capture those for your case.
Age is the single biggest factor in most cases, which is why the same IVF price can bring very different outcomes for two couples. Sperm problems, tube damage or a thin lining each change the plan too.
After reviewing your tests, the doctor explains your realistic chances in plain words. If a centre in any city promises a fixed result, treat that as a warning sign rather than a reason to choose it.
