IVF Cost in Chennai 2026: From ₹1.6 lakh per Cycle

From Chennai, one IVF cycle at our Delhi clinic costs ₹1,60,000 – ₹3,56,000. A cycle that needs ICSI costs ₹1,80,000 – ₹4,06,000. The longer flight adds a travel budget of its own, which you can keep in check by planning a single well-timed stay.

From ₹1.6 lakhOne IVF cycle, itemised below

Chennai has the longest flight of any city we list, about 2 hours 50 minutes each way. The IVF price at our clinic is the same for them as for a Delhi couple. What needs more thought is the calendar.

An IVF cycle has one stretch that cannot be done from home: the final scans, egg collection and, in many cases, the embryo transfer. Getting that stretch right decides how many nights you spend in Delhi and how many times you fly.

This page gives the full test tube baby cost line by line, the extras some couples need, and a day-by-day view of the Delhi stay. Pre-treatment tests and early scans can be done in Chennai and sent to our doctor on WhatsApp. That keeps your time in Delhi to the days that matter.

Egg freezing (one cycle)Stimulation, collection and freezing; storage extra₹1,50,000 – ₹2,50,000

The Delhi stay, day by day

Here is how a typical stay around egg collection runs. Your own dates depend on your scans, so treat this as a guide.

  1. Arrive for the final scansThe wife flies in for the last few days of stimulation. Earlier scans are done in Chennai and shared with the doctor.
  2. Trigger injectionOnce the follicles are ready, the doctor gives a timed trigger injection. Egg collection follows roughly a day and a half later.
  3. Egg collectionA short procedure under anaesthesia, with discharge the same day. The husband gives a sperm sample that morning.
  4. RestThe wife rests for the remainder of the day. Flying back to Chennai the same evening is not advised.
  5. Fresh transfer, if advisedEmbryos are transferred a few days later. Couples who stay on can finish the cycle in one trip.

Ask the doctor when it is fine to fly home after the transfer.

The husband's part of the trip is shorter. He is needed on collection day for the sample, so he can arrive the day before and leave once the sample is given. Booking his flights this way keeps the overall travel spend lower.

Fresh or frozen transfer: one trip or two

A fresh transfer keeps everything in one stay, so it suits the long journey from Chennai. But it is not always the right choice. If the risk of OHSS is high, or the uterine lining is not ready, the doctor may advise freezing all embryos.

In that case, embryo freezing costs ₹15,000 – ₹40,000, and the frozen embryo transfer cycle later costs ₹40,000 – ₹80,000. You prepare the lining at home with medicines, and fly in only for the transfer itself. Learn more on our frozen embryo transfer page.

What you can do in Chennai between trips

Much of IVF does not need our clinic. Doing these steps at home cuts both the IVF cost of travel and the time off work.

  • Pre-treatment blood tests, AMH and semen analysis
  • Early stimulation scans, sent on WhatsApp
  • Lining scans before a frozen transfer
  • The pregnancy blood test, about two weeks after transfer

Our doctor reviews each report and tells you when to book the flight. If a result needs action, such as a thyroid level to correct, it can often be treated in Chennai before you travel.

Keep copies of every report in one folder on your phone. When you arrive in Delhi, the clinic team can then see your history at a glance, and no test is repeated without a reason.

Where ICSI fits in

ICSI places a single sperm directly into each egg. It is advised mainly for low sperm count, poor motility or earlier failed fertilisation. The add-on cost is ₹20,000 – ₹50,000.

If the semen sample shows no sperm at all, sperm may be taken directly from the testis or epididymis. This procedure, called TESA or PESA, costs ₹30,000 – ₹60,000. It can often be timed with egg collection, so it need not add a trip from Chennai.

The decision is usually made from the semen analysis you do in Chennai. Read about the method on our ICSI page, or see IVF cost across India.
